An estimated 1.4 million transgender adults living in the United States and an additional 140,000 transgender youth ages 13 to 17. With greater societal awareness and acceptance, many people who have otherwise remained closeted have come out as transgender in the past several years. Transgender people face a different set of issues when seeking health care. Join us for this free one-hour webinar as we pass the microphone to transgender and nonbinary Kentuckians to learn how organizations and individuals can support and better advocate for trans people.

  1. Gain an understanding of the barriers to care for transgender Kentuckians.
  2. Learn new skills in navigating sometimes challenging conversations about gender and how to be a better advocate for transgender Kentuckians.
