As we enter our second quarter of 2024, we wanted to express our excitement at the many ways the Louisville Pride Center is growing. With new full-time staff members, new spaces and new projects, there is a lot to see at the center. Let’s start with our new full-time staff members!

Vic Leon is one of the Program Managers, responsible for organizing events like our weekly game nights and our educational series, ‘Ask the Expert.’ Vic also recently began developing our newsletter and promotional materials. Vic is leading the Hats Off! Derby Hat Making Afternoon from 2-4PM. RSVP by emailing [email protected].

Anthony Munger is our resident social worker, and the mind behind our Immunity in the Community program, as well as helping get harm reduction supplies into as many hands as possible to keep Louisville safe.

Sydni Hampton is one of the Program Managers and will soon join Interim Director Ebony Cross on the new Podcast coming from the Louisville Pride Center, focusing on issues faced by LGBTQIA+ people every day, with experts to provide expertise. She also leads the weekly Movie Night, each Wednesday from 7-9.

The Louisville Pride Center will soon have a podcast studio to rent on the 3rd floor. Equipped with microphones, sound-dampening materials and more, the center hopes to give space to creatives to make their voices heard, while offering it at an accessible rate.

As we move into May, we continue to work toward getting the space that will house our long-awaited Community Food Pantry completed. This pantry will be stocked with shelf-stable foods as well as prepared sack lunches. If you are interested in donating to support the food pantry, please contact Sydni Hampton ([email protected])
